Hopkins Homes opens two Norfolk developments in Loddon and Brundall

untypical has confirmed the launch of two new residential communities in South Norfolk, delivered by its premium brand Hopkins Homes.

The first scheme, Loddon Rise, launches officially on Saturday 28th February in the market town of Loddon.  Granted planning approval by South Norfolk Council in October 2024, the development will deliver 180 new homes across an 18.8-acre site to the southeast of the town.

The second scheme, Brundall Meadows, opens on Saturday 7th March and will deliver 170 new homes in the popular village of Brundall.  Designed to complement the character of the local area, the development will feature a mix of homes set within a green, open environment.

Both developments will have showhomes to explore and a range of buying schemes to help buyers take their next step.

Loddon Rise offers traditionally styled 1- and 2-bedroom apartments to 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom houses that reflect Loddon’s historic character alongside modern, energy-efficient features. The plans incorporate 59 affordable homes (shared ownership and rent), nine self-build plots, children’s play areas, woodland walkways, new tree planting, cycle improvements and bus stop upgrades to boost community connectivity.

Loddon Rise sits beside the River Chet with access to the southern Norfolk Broads, appealing to first-time buyers, families and downsizers. Nearby schools include Loddon Primary and Hobart High (both highly rated), alongside local amenities and Norwich, which is just 12 miles away.

Brundall Meadows offers a range of 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom homes set alongside a new country park and village green, creating valuable outdoor space for both residents and the wider community.

The scheme includes 56 affordable homes to be provided in conjunction with a local housing provider, helping to address local housing need.

With a range of house types on offer and thoughtfully designed public spaces, Brundall Meadows aims to create a welcoming new neighbourhood that supports village life while benefiting from strong transport links to Norwich and the surrounding area.

Duncan Jackson, Regional Managing Director of untypical’s Anglian region, said:

“We’re delighted to be expanding our presence in South Norfolk.  At both Loddon Rise and Brundall Meadows, we’re focused on creating well-designed, energy-efficient homes alongside meaningful community benefits – from affordable housing and self-build plots to new parks, play areas and infrastructure improvements - that will benefit residents for generations to come.”

Both developments meet high energy efficiency standards. The Home Builders Federation (HBF) published figures in February 2026 showing that new builds like these emit up to 74% less carbon than older properties and save homeowners an average of £420 a year on energy bills.
