We have an opportunity for a Telescopic Forklift Driver to join our team working from our Western region and based at our site in Exeter.   Aim of the post To manage and control the delivery of materials on a residential development construction site and the distribution of materials in accordance with the build programme. Working with the Site teams to meet delivery targets.   Duties include:   Regularly communicate with the Site Manager to keep up to date with any changes to the construction programme Advise Site Manager of any shortages of blocks, bricks and level of silo mix to prevent construction delays Ensure all deliveries are checked for quality and correct quantities when delivered, and record any defective or short deliveries in conjunction with the Site Manager and Materials Controller where applicable Store and label materials correctly in the storage areas supplied Ensure any waste materials are loaded into the correct site skips so waste control can be managed Ensure the forklift is inspected daily for maintenance purposes, and weekly inspections are recorded in the Plant Register Ensure the forklift is clean and roadworthy at all times, and carry out routine maintenance Ensure plant attachments are inspected on a weekly basis and recorded in the Plant Register Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times and report any issues directly to the Site Manager Ensure materials are loaded out on platforms to allow for the loading bay gates to be closed at all times

We have an opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team on a permanent contract.  Aim of the role  Responsible for managing the construction of a residential development including all associated pre and post housebuilding works. Ensuring that targets are met regarding Health and Safety, delivery against the build programme, quality, customer service and cost.  Duties will include: Ensuring compliance on site at all times to the company Health and Safety standards and processes, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards Co-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme on larger developments, and to proactively schedule in trades to ensure optimum delivery Undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections at the correct timings and rectifying any defects so as not to incur additional cost, time delays, or reduction in the final quality Monitoring and controlling the cost of production, and approving payment to contractors and trades where appropriate Initiating and attending plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector or NHBC, taking corrective action to ensure a minimum of RI’s/BRI’s Carrying out toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings to influence, gain commitment, and to drive best practice; To display a proactive approach to mitigating risk, build sequencing, and overall quality on site Liaising proactively with other internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved Working with Sales through regular build/ sales meetings to ensure smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers To deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times Carrying out New Home Demos with the Sales Advisor and customer(s) to give a good demonstration of the home, answering any questions, and rectifying any issues before Legal Completion With the support of the Contracts Manager, ensure the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site’s workload and resources Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism

The Internal Audit and Risk Management function within a PB plays a critical role in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks and providing independent assurance on the integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency of the PB’s internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. This position is both strategic and operational, requiring a blend of risk assessment, management and commercial orientation, technical audit expertise, business acumen, and strong influencing and communication skills. It is pivotal in safeguarding the PB’s assets and reputation while supporting value creation and operational excellence. This post could be based from any of our regional offices and will involve regular travel to each, as well as the Terra Firma office in central London. Key Responsibilities Risk Identification and Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organization. Analyse internal and external factors that could pose risks, such as market trends, regulatory changes, or operational vulnerabilities. Risk Profiles: Develop risk profiles and maintain a risk register documenting identified risks and their potential impact. Risk Mitigation and Control: Design and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the likelihood or impact of identified risks. Recommend and oversee the implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to ensure risk controls are integrated into business processes. Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor risk factors and the effectiveness of mitigation measures. Prepare and present risk reports to PB & TF senior management and the PB’s board of directors. Ensure timely escalation of significant risks or incidents. Planning and Execution of Audits: In alignment with TF Internal Audit and Risk Management develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan, ensuring coverage of key business processes, financial controls, and compliance requirements. Lead and conduct audits, including scoping, fieldwork, and reporting. Audit Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and insightful audit reports for TF senior management, and the PB’s Board (or their Audit Committee). Highlight significant findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement. Follow-up and Remediation: Monitor the implementation of agreed audit recommendations, ensuring timely and effective remediation of control weaknesses. Advisory Support: Provide advice to PB management on internal controls, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies, while maintaining independence and objectivity including after event reviews. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong working relationships with PB management, the Board (and/or Audit Committee), external auditors, and other key TF stakeholders. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure the business complies with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, including those specific to TF. Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement in internal controls and risk management across the PB. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain a dynamic and driven approach to promoting and supporting H&S across Regions which you support. Be an ambassador for H&S and promote innovative thinking which enables solutions to problems to be identified and implemented effectively with the Regions you support. Support your Regions in measuring and monitoring performance against Group and Regional H&S Plans. This includes reviewing all external H&S Site Inspections/Development Visits, so you are aware of the monthly H&S performance and compliance and proactivelyactions completed to close out reports Support and work closely with internal Regional Support Functions including Office personnel, Site Management, Sales, Customer Care Teams and Supply Chain in planning, reviewing, and achieving Regional H&S objectives and targets Facilitate the implementation of the H&S Management System to reduce risk, promote a positive H&S culture and ensure the Regions you support remain compliant with all relevant H&S legislation. Attend and support with all CDM meetings (including Pre-Development / Pre-Start Meetings) to review all developments within the Regions from start up to and including post construction works. Review Pre-Construction Information created by Technical Departments. Support Construction with the development of Construction Phase H&S Plans. Support Construction with the review of Construction Phase H&S Plans and RAMS for High-Risk activities. Promoting continuous improvement and development throughout the business through education and training Attend and support with Monthly Regional H&S Leadership Meetings. Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and investigated within the Regions you support in accordance with Group H&S Management System. Ensure all H&S lessons learnt are captured, communicated, understood and effectively implemented within the Regions that you support. Ensure that all H&S reporting requirements are provided accurately and in a timely manner for the Regions that you support. Be responsible for preparing and submitting the Regional H&S award submissions.
