We have an opportunity for a Telescopic Forklift Driver to join our team working from our Western region and based at our site in Exeter.   Aim of the post To manage and control the delivery of materials on a residential development construction site and the distribution of materials in accordance with the build programme. Working with the Site teams to meet delivery targets.   Duties include:   Regularly communicate with the Site Manager to keep up to date with any changes to the construction programme Advise Site Manager of any shortages of blocks, bricks and level of silo mix to prevent construction delays Ensure all deliveries are checked for quality and correct quantities when delivered, and record any defective or short deliveries in conjunction with the Site Manager and Materials Controller where applicable Store and label materials correctly in the storage areas supplied Ensure any waste materials are loaded into the correct site skips so waste control can be managed Ensure the forklift is inspected daily for maintenance purposes, and weekly inspections are recorded in the Plant Register Ensure the forklift is clean and roadworthy at all times, and carry out routine maintenance Ensure plant attachments are inspected on a weekly basis and recorded in the Plant Register Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times and report any issues directly to the Site Manager Ensure materials are loaded out on platforms to allow for the loading bay gates to be closed at all times

We are looking for an Engineer/Closing Out Manager to join our team on a fixed term contract of around 6 months. This post will manage developments in the North East of England. Duties will include: Ensure compliance with planning conditions discharge Coordinate layout and plot amendments Liaise with consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure preparation of technical support information Appoint, brief, challenge, assist and manage consulting engineers and other external consultants and agencies in the delivery of cost-effective design solutions Actively manage external consultants to ensure that all development technical information is received, coordinated, checked for purpose and efficiency and distributed on time and within budget, liaising closely with Group support teams Support the construction teams ensuring the plots meet quality standards and NHBC cover requirements. Manage drainage and highways adoption processes Oversee utility services Ensure that all drawings / details meet with Local Authority and NHBC requirements Lead and chair monthly Project Team Meetings up to the point of groundworks tender pack issue, then provide handover of these meetings to the Commercial Department Manage the technical fee budgets Coordinate the communication and distribution of design drawings and specifications to the wider business Prepare and maintain project delivery, implementing ‘stop gate’ milestones and control programmes and maintain tracking documents for the monitoring of progress and for use in providing status reports to the Head of Technical and business Senior Management Team

We're have a great opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team, based at The High Street, Arlesey, SG15 6SX on a permanent contract. The Site Manager will lead the construction of a development, including all associated pre and post housebuilding works, ensuring that targets are met regarding Health and Safety, delivery to build programme, quality, customer care, and cost.  Responsibilities and Duties  Lead and support a Site Team, both during the pre-construction and construction phases Ensure service delivery meets financial targets and operates within the agreed budget Ensuring compliance on site to the company Health and Safety standards and processes, NHBC standards, building regulations and overall quality standards Undertaking company directed quality control procedures to rectify any defects so as not to incur additional cost, time delays, or reduction in the final quality Monitoring and controlling the cost of production, and approving payment to contractors and trades where appropriate Initiating and attending plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector or NHBC, taking corrective action to ensure a minimum of RI’s/BRI’s Liaising proactively with other internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved Co-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme, and to proactively schedule in trades to optimum delivery With the support of the Contracts Manager, ensure the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these Carrying out toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings To deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times Carrying out New Home Demo with the Sales Advisor and customer(s) to give a good demonstration of the home, answering any questions, and rectifying any issues before Legal Completion Working with sales through regular meetings to ensure a smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism

We have an opportunity for a Labourer to join our team on our Foals Meadow (OX119BS) housing development on a permanent contract.  Our labourers are key to maintaining safe and tidy building sites as well as supporting the care of materials and waste.  Duties include: Ensure compound and welfare facilities are maintained Ensure all plots under construction are kept tidy by all trades Walk round plots under construction on a daily basis to ensure there are no surplus materials discarded Ensure all waste across the site is segregated and recycled following company guidelines Inspect all on-site signage including all large sale signs, plot signs, safety signs etc., and ensure that signs are always clean and in good repair Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager, and in line with company standards and procedures Take personal responsibility for Health and Safety on site and report any instances of breaches to the site manager Ensure that all protection of fixed material is carried out by the sub-contractor who fits it, in line with company procedures Ensure that protection of fixed material is maintained to the last possible moment and notify the Site Manager of anyone permanently removing or abusing the protective materials Check show home gardens and public open spaces on a weekly basis and remove any items of rubbish which may have blown onto these areas

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team and based on our residential development at Delapre Point, Ransome Road (NN4 8DE) on a permanent contract.  Delapre Point is an exciting new neighbourhood of thoughtfully designed 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes in Northampton. This carefully planned community of 217 homes is just a mile from Northampton’s vibrant town centre.   The Assistant Site Manager will help to manage a volume residential housebuilding programmes with a focus on Health and Safety, Contractors and Customer Service.
