We have an opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team and based at our site at Sandford, BS25 5RG on a permanent contract.  Aim of the role  Responsible for managing the construction of a residential development including all associated pre and post housebuilding works. Ensuring that targets are met regarding Health and Safety, delivery against the build programme, quality, customer service and cost.  Duties will include: Ensuring compliance on site at all times to the company Health and Safety standards and processes, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards Co-ordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme on larger developments, and to proactively schedule in trades to ensure optimum delivery Undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections at the correct timings and rectifying any defects so as not to incur additional cost, time delays, or reduction in the final quality Monitoring and controlling the cost of production, and approving payment to contractors and trades where appropriate Initiating and attending plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector or NHBC, taking corrective action to ensure a minimum of RI’s/BRI’s Carrying out toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings to influence, gain commitment, and to drive best practice; To display a proactive approach to mitigating risk, build sequencing, and overall quality on site Liaising proactively with other internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved Working with Sales through regular build/ sales meetings to ensure smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers To deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times Carrying out New Home Demos with the Sales Advisor and customer(s) to give a good demonstration of the home, answering any questions, and rectifying any issues before Legal Completion With the support of the Contracts Manager, ensure the on-site construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site’s workload and resources Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism

The region is operational on over 10 sites with more launching in the next 18 months and are set to build over 400 units this year. Sites are diverse in size and nature across Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Northants and Oxon.  This Senior post sits on our Senior Management Team and will lead an established department that includes Development, Engineering, Adoptions and Legacy. This post is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Technical department in the Central region. Duties include: Responsible for the performance of the team in delivering technical design and approvals required for all projects within the Region.             Ensure that all technical staff are aware of the health and safety implications of every design decision Communicate well with staff, Department Heads, external consultants and other bodies Reporting to the Regional Managing Director, support site development and the attainment of targets through the management of all technical services, including all technical, engineering and architectural aspects of the business from land acquisition through to site completions and final adoptions  Provide a practical and cost-effective technical service to the company and all of its functions and to ensure that best practice is followed, costs are controlled, the department maximises revenue generation and contribution to the company’s operating profit  Engaged throughout, ensuring land acquisitions are technically sound, identifying risk and opportunities to the busy through each project's life cycle Be directly responsible for managing the professional fee budget for each development   Be responsible for producing technical design solutions encompassing site evaluation, architectural and engineering design, the investigation of technical problems encountered and provision of economical viable resolutions  Ensure that technical department procedures are adhered to, and layouts, technical reports and required working drawings are provided within the agreed date schedule   Report to the Regional MD in line with the standard format and schedule   Act as the role of Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations.  Considers the strategy to positively impact our sustainability goals and look for opportunities to embed ESG through the technical team Has knowledge of ESG and initiatives to improve and support the business to become more sustainable Ensure the Technical team are clear on expectations and accountable for their own are of ownership with clear objectives and are provided with full support in achieving these with communication, training and development and organising the departments workload
