Hopkins Homes Limited is a private limited company, registered in England under company number 02875798 and has its registered office at Melton Park House, Melton, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 1TJ.

Untypical operates under a number of legal entities where it has control or joint control with our established strategic partners.

What type of data do we collect?

The types of personal information we collect and our uses of that personal information will depend on your relationship with us. For example, we will collect different personal information depending on whether you are a client, supplier or website user.

Prospective client and existing client

As part of your registration of interest in a property from one of our Group companies, it is necessary for us to collect and process personal data about you. Categories of personal data that we collect include:

  • personal details (for example, your name, date of birth)
  • your contact details (for example, your address, phone number and e-mail address)
  • Data contained within identification documents
  • Financial information
  • We may also process views about you and your interest in our properties (for example, an assessment regarding your property affordability). We do not engage in automated processing.

In those cases where the information we hold about you was not provided directly by you, that information will usually originate from other property companies or other organisations (such as lawyers) that you provided information to as part of your property search or purchase.

Supplier

If you are a supplier, sub-consultant, contractor or sole trader supplier to Untypical or one of our Group companies, it is necessary for us to collect and process personal data about you. Categories of personal data that we collect include:

  • personal details (for example, your name, date of birth)
  • your contact details (for example, your address, phone number and e-mail address)
  • information you provide when completing any applicable forms or statements of work

Industry Contacts

If you are an industry contact (for example, partners of Untypical or our Group companies, any third party who refers clients to us or a third party to whom we communicate and work with to deliver services and projects) the categories of personal data we collect include:

  • personal details and contact information (for example, your name, phone number, work address, email address)
  • work bio, CV and job title
  • information gathered from publicly available sources such as internet search engines like Google, company websites and social media sites including Linkedin

Users of our website

If you are a visitor to our website, the categories of personal data we collect include:

  • contact information you submit to us (for example, your name, phone number, email address and marketing preferences)

Other Companies

Personal data that we receive from third parties is combined with the personal data that you provide to us and used for the purposes described above.

Personal data concerning others

Where you have provided personal data about someone else (such as a joint applicant) then you must first obtain their permission. This policy will apply to the data that you have provided about them.

There may be occasions where we may need to share your personal data with the other applicant.

How will we use your data and why?

Your personal data will be stored, processed, used and disclosed by us in the following ways:

  • To facilitate your interest in a property from one of our Group companies
  • To set you up as a new client
  • To maintain your details on our internal client or supplier database
  • To identify you and carry out money laundering checks
  • To better understand your servicing and marketing requirements and to provide you with information about our properties
  • To answer your questions and enquiries
  • To improve our business and the service we provide
  • To send to third parties for purposes necessary for a purchase of a Group property including local councils and utility companies in order to facilitate the handover of the property
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any agreements between you and us
  • For market research purposes
  • To manage Untypical’s and the Group’s business operations such as maintaining accounting records, client records, developing business strategy and client relationships, reviewing business processes and activities including analysis, review, planning and business transaction, receiving professional advice and dealing with new business proposals and supplier tender processes
  • To carry out the administration, structuring and management purposes of the Group companies. This includes our reporting activities to companies including investors, shareholders and controlling parties.

We must have a legal reason to process your personal information. This will usually be one of the following:

  • consent to market our properties to you according to your preferences
  • to meet our legitimate interests to facilitate your interest in our properties
  • to comply with our contractual obligations in the event that you enter into formal arrangements to purchase a property from one of our Group companies
  • to meet our legitimate interests as a business, the legitimate interests of a Group company and a third party involved in the administration, structuring and management of our business.
