We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join our team working from our Eastern region and based at our site in Berryfields, Aylesbury, HP18 1BB on a permanent contract.  Duties include: Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, and directing labour and materials to meet the production programme Work in conjunction with the Sales Team to ensure that regular Build/Sales meetings are attended, all Build/Sales procedures are adhered to, and inspections of all show homes are carried out Accept responsibility for such duties and responsibilities as the Site Manager may determine; and as and when required, deputise for the Site Manager Support the Site Manager in ensuring that the on-site Construction team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities Provide full support to site workers in achieving their job responsibilities through communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site’s workload and resources Be responsible or delivering excellent customer service in line with company guidelines Implement and comply with Safety, Health, and Environment policy and procedures, all legal requirements, and established best practic Develop an organisational culture within projects that embodies the company values Establish and maintain the best relationship with the client, through and beyond construction to satisfactory completion, and deliver improved value to the client and company

We are looking to recruit a full time Estimator. The aim of the post is to work as part of our Commercial team and be responsible for preparing whole development budgets, estimates and cashflows from pre-land purchase to final budget estimate, prior to the handover to the Quantity Surveying and Buying teams. This post provides accurate estimates to the Land and Planning department to assist in secure Land/Business opportunities as well as to maximise the cost effectiveness of developments. Based at our Western region in Exeter. Your main responsibilities will include: Developing strong relationships with external consultants and other specialists Develop and maintain market awareness on materials and sub-contractor prices Maintain the database of standard cost allowances, and work closely with the commercial department to ensure cost assumptions are current Deliver detailed financial appraisals for new land bids and undertake cost and risk analysis for new sites Responsible for taking off quantities, procuring competitive quotations, analysing the results and producing finalisation documents Consider drawings and the employer’s requirements to understand the requirements of the tender documentation Once land is purchased ensure that the build cost budget is updated at regular intervals e.g. quarterly to ensure the appraisal remains robust and in line with build cost inflation. Also ensure the budget is updated at key milestones such as planning submission and for start on site budget. Consider sub-contract quotes and attendances to incorporate into estimates Visit site to establish site constraints etc, that may affect pricing strategy Be technically competent with a very good understanding of the building process Analyse and critique all information provided to the Department for cost effectiveness Explore and present innovative construction techniques to reduce cost Value engineer specifications and materials to enhance cost effectiveness

We have an opportunity for a Sales Executive to join a friendly team working across a number of different developments in the Norwich area, on a permanent basis, in a Roaming capacity. The role would be to mainly provide cover for sickness and holiday within the wider team, but also provide additional support on busy developments when/where required. Duties include: Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of our product and its construction, relevant local information, our unique selling points, the New Homes Quality Code, General Disclosure of Personal Records, Hopkins Homes Health & Safety and Personal Safety policies, and using such knowledge in a professional and structured manner Attending to the needs of visitors, customers and potential purchasers and updating and progressing leads via our CRM system Taking reservations and initiating paperwork with speed and accuracy and supporting customers with understanding the sales process, including the financial and legal aspects Building great working relationships and having a continuous liaison with solicitors, estate agents, banks and building society managers and valuers to support with sales Ensuring the Sales Centre, Show Homes, Stock Plots and associated gardens are well maintained, cleaned and kept up to date, to maintain a standard of excellence Sales of customer extras from the Hopkins Homes range within agreed timescales and to agreed targets Effective communication with the Site Manager to ensure knowledge of plot construction, progress and safe areas of viewing Supporting the company in covering additional developments across the region when required The role covers a 5 day week which includes weekends

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join a friendly team working from our Exeter office on a permanent basis. The post delivers multi-trade repairs and maintenance to new homes housing developments, providing excellent customer service at all times. Duties include; To carry out general maintenance and repairs to new build properties including associated carpentry, preparation, making good, and other types of internal and external works as instructed by the Customer Services Manager. To maintain appropriate and accurate records of time, duration and scope of works undertaken, together with materials and plant utilised on each project. To ensure that all works are undertaken in a safe manner, in accordance with good practice and current legislation. Requesting necessary materials and plan as required to ensure effective completion of the works, minimising waste and surplus materials wherever possible; To liaise with customers, ensuring they are kept informed on the nature and duration of works to be undertaken, making appointments where necessary and ensuring these are kept; To carry out works in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring that the reputation and standing of the association is positively promoted in all dealings; To provide a customer focused service at all times; To communicate effectively and work productively with all other staff; To undertake other related tasks that are reasonably requested by the Customer Services Manager; Observe and comply with the company policies and procedures for Health and Safety.
