Hopkins Homes unveils two new Anglia developments ahead of public launches

Hopkins Homes, part of the untypical Group, welcomed local leaders, councillors and community representatives to exclusive VIP preview events at two of its newest developments in North Walsham and Halstead ahead of their public launches later this month.

At The Tanner’s Quarter in North Walsham, local Councillors Lucy Shires and Mal Gray joined Deputy Mayor Helen Richardson to officially open the show homes ahead of the public launch on Saturday 23rd May. Meanwhile, at Bournewood Park on the outskirts of Halstead, the Mayor of Halstead, Cllr James Bond, officially opened the development’s show homes before its public launch on Saturday 30th May.

The events gave invited guests an early opportunity to tour the new communities, explore the show homes and hear more about the vision behind each development.

The Tanner’s Quarter will offer a collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes on the southern edge of North Walsham, designed to reflect the character of the historic market town through traditional architecture and modern, energy-efficient features. The development will include public open spaces, a natural play area, community orchard, allotments and green corridors designed to encourage walking and cycling.

Bournewood Park, meanwhile, will deliver 197 homes ranging from one to four bedrooms on the edge of Halstead, next to open countryside and nearby footpaths and green spaces. The development has been designed with biodiversity and sustainability in mind, incorporating timber frame construction, air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, bird-nesting bricks and hedgehog highways. Some homes will also feature solar PV panels.

Ben Fewsdale, Regional Managing Director for untypical’s Anglia region, said: “It was a genuine pleasure to welcome local representatives, partners and members of the community to both The Tanner’s Quarter and Bournewood Park for these special preview events. Seeing the show homes open their doors for the first time and being able to share our vision for these developments in person was a proud moment for everyone involved.

“Both developments have been carefully designed to reflect the character of their surrounding areas while creating sustainable, community-focused places to live. From green open spaces and biodiversity measures to energy-efficient homes and thoughtful layouts, these are developments built with longevity and modern living in mind. We’re excited to now welcome the wider public in the coming weeks.”

The Tanner’s Quarter offers convenient access to Norwich and the Norfolk coastline, while Bournewood Park sits within easy reach of Halstead town centre, schools and surrounding countryside.
