A Bramford couple say Part Exchange gave them the certainty they needed to secure a new home at Church View, where just six homes now remain available.

Alex and Beth were searching for a larger home with more space, character and a location better suited to work and everyday life. When they discovered Church View in Bramford, its village setting, nearby green space and access to the A12 and A14 made it the right fit.

However, with Alex’s existing property already on the market, the couple did not want to risk missing out on the home they had chosen.

Alex said: “We really fell in love with the house. It ticked all the boxes for us.  The location, the character and all of those little details that mattered. Once we had found it, we wanted to make sure we could secure it.”

Through Hopkins Homes’ Part Exchange scheme, Alex and Beth were able to reserve their new home while continuing with the sale of Alex’s existing property. Although the property subsequently sold privately, remaining within the scheme gave the couple added reassurance throughout their move.

Beth said: “It gave us real peace of mind. We didn’t want to go away, come back and find the house had been sold to someone else. Being able to reserve it through Part Exchange made a real difference.”

Their experience reflects the uncertainty many movers can face when a purchase depends on another sale progressing. Research commissioned by Santander in 2025, estimated that 530,000 property transactions fail each year in England and Wales; 23% of consumers surveyed said they had experienced a property chain collapse.

Alex said: “The whole process was really supportive. We were abroad at the time, so phone calls weren’t always easy, but the team adapted to what worked for us and we were able to deal with things over email.”

Beth said: “The communication was really good. We would send an email and often get a response very quickly, which made the whole process feel much easier.”

Now settled at Church View, the couple are enjoying more outdoor space, a good-sized garden and the opportunity to explore nearby footpaths and riverside walks. Their favourite features of the home include the lounge and fireplace, kitchen and built-in wardrobes.

With only six homes remaining available, Church View continues to offer buyers the chance to live in Bramford, close to village amenities and green space while remaining well connected for travel across Suffolk and beyond.
